Nicole is a scenic designer & artist based in the New York City metropolitan area, belonging to IATSE Local USA 829.
A proud graduate of the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Theatre Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Design/Technology (focusing in Scenic Design), Nicole first fell in love with scenery via theatre.
Early years of her career were spent in fabrication shops β first project managing at propNspoon in Rahway, NJ, then drafting scenery for events & exhibitions at Symmetry in Hauppauge, NY.
The seismic shifts of the 2020 pandemic brought Nicole back to her roots of narrative work, primarily film & television, joining USA 829 in 2022.
Having applied her skills to different layers of the industry, Nicole has found a unifying passion in delving into the human condition. In addition to the important conceptual work, Nicole thrives on the careful management and collaboration that go into bringing a production to life. With her wide range of experience (including designer & technical drafting, scenic painting, sourcing, prop-making, light carpentry, and more), she brings to the table a comprehensive understanding of scenery, with working knowledge in multiple departments fostering efficient communication and a deep respect towards each of her colleagues.
Nicole is famous amongst her peers for being able to find an anecdote in reference to just about any conversation. Outside of work, she is passionate about iced tea, board games, and creative writing.
